Pelican International, the Canadian maker of plastic boats, has appointed Alex Tongue as its new agent for Europe, effective immediately. Tonge has worked as Pelican's distributor in the U.K. for more than 10 years and is therefore very familiar with Pelican's Twin Sheet Thermoforming technology and its product portfolio. He has also been an avid paddler from an early age and an active coach with the British Canoe Union. In his new role, he will be working with Jean-Noel Basque, Pelican's executive sales director, and his team to continue to expand Pelican's product offering overseas, with both existing distributors and new ones. Tonge is based in Hertfordshire, U.K.
