Roody Rasmussen, who has been the president of Petzl America for the last 12 years, has announced that he will step down from that position at the end of this year. He will be succeeded by Nazz Kurth, currently the sales director for Petzl America, the manufacturer of headlamps and vertical equipment. Rasmussen will keep the title of senior vice president, managing special projects, and will also keep his seat on the board of the company's nonprofit arm, the Petzl Foundation. He started with Petzl in 1988 as a sale representative for North America. Kurth has been with the American company since 2006, when he joined as division manager for headlamps.
