The German outdoor and ski clothing brand Schöffel has named Tobias Schmid as its new sales manager for Germany effective Aug. 1. The business economist has worked as key account manager at Schöffel since 2017. Prior to that, he spent ten years at Intersport Germany, most recently as senior buyer. Schmid succeeds Patrick Schmollinger, who has held the position since 2018 and joined Schöffel in 2014. Schmollinger is leaving the company to pursue new professional opportunities in his home region of Nuremberg. In his new role, Tobias Schmid will place particular emphasis on the further expansion of high-quality sales channels and the visibility of the brand in close and trusting cooperation with retail partners. He reports directly to Stefan Merkt, head of sales at Schöffel.
