Thomas Brock, former country manager for the Mammut Sports Group in Switzerland, started at the beginning of June as country manager for Germany and Austria at Genfoot Marketing Europe. Genfoot is the Canadian footwear company that owns the Kamik brand, and Genfoot Marketing Europe sells Kamik and Aku in Germany and Austria. Brock led Mammut in Switzerland for five years and then decided to return to Germany, for personal reasons unrelated to the management changes at the Swiss group. He takes over from Urs Bamert, who switched from Columbia Sportswear last September but stayed just a few months and left again in February. The management of Kamik and Aku in the German-speaking countries had been previously supervised for many years by Hagen Marschner.
