Vibram has appointed Antonio Dus for the newly created position of consultant to Marco Bramani, the group's chief executive and president. The 42-year-old's job will be to improve leadership of the company as a supplier of shoe soles as well as driving innovation and quality within the company. He will help to develop the company's FiveFingers business, but there are no plans for Vibram to go in competition with its suppliers. With this appointment, the situation will remain unchanged with Bramani as head of the company and Adriano Zuccala as general manager and chief of operations. After holding various positions with companies in the U.S. and Australia, Dus worked for Garmont as general manager before he switched to Salewa, where he was in charge of building up the Italian company's footwear unit based in Montebelluna since 2006. Officials of Salewa said that he is leaving behind a strong management for its footwear division.
