Hestra has opened a new factory in Hai Phong, Vietnam. The factory will complement the manufacturing units already operated by the Swedish sports glove manufacturer in Hungary and China. The new Vietnamese factory is meant to respond to a high volume of orders. The company has invested 32 million Swedish kronor (€3.1m-$3.5m) in the new factory, which employs around 100 people. Hestra, which manufactures ski and outdoor gloves, has a turnover of around SEK 400 million (€38.4m-$44.3m) annually, with sales in more than 30 countries. The company was founded in 1936 in the small Swedish town of Hestra.
