Decathlon is under pressure from activists to eliminate the sale of hunting products in its French stores. More than 38,000 people signed a petition to this effect after the French government backed the requests of the French Hunters' Federation (FNC), which boasts 1.2 million members. Its support was said to have triggered the resignation of a highly popular minister of the environment, Nicolas Hulot.
