Outdoor Sports Valley (OSV), the predominantly French association of outdoor companies, has established a partnership with Mont-Blanc Insertion (MBI) in Passy, near Chamonix, to offer apparel repair service for suppliers, distributors and retailers in the outdoor industry. Companies such as Salomon, Patagonia, Blue Ice, Jonathan & Fletcher and Picture & Vola have been jointly working on efficient ways to change all sorts of zippers, to mend tears, replace snap fasteners or Velcro strips. The project fits with the OSV's efforts to support sustainability and social responsibility. OSV said the project was also enabled by MBI's acquisition of new industrial machinery. The repair center may take orders from any companies but OSV members are offered discounts.
