Yeti, the big American brand of coolers and drinkware that wants to make its mark in Europe and other foreign markets, is suing Chilly Moose and Schombert Sheet Metal in the West Texas District Court for selling counterfeits of many of its own products, including the Rambler tumbler and mug, the Colster beverage holder and the Roadie and Tundra coolers. Yeti alleges that, besides copying non-functional details from its patented and trademark designs, Chilly Moose has even been using its model names and item descriptions on its website. Yeti is asking the court a finding of infringement, an injunction, and damages and fees.
