After a preview at Ispo Munich, the international jury of the Scandinavian Outdoor Awards formally announced Ecco, Isbjörn and Thule as the award winners for the upcoming fall/winter season. Ecco, the Danish footwear company, was the overall winner in the apparel and footwear category for its Biom Terrain lightweight hiking shoe. Isbjörn, a Swedish company specializing in children's outdoor garments, received the overall award in the kids' category for the Back Flip Ski Set, a durable jacket-and-pant combination. As for Thule, another Swedish group, it was picked as the overall winner in the hardware category for its Chariot CX, a versatile product that may be used by bikers as well as skiers and runners. The awards are organized by the Scandinavian Outdoor Group.
