It all started with the Instagram account of Norway’s National Library, which posted a newspaper ad from the 1930s showing that Bergans of Norway once made eyewear. Someone at the company noted a resemblance to his wife’s pair of Kaibosh glasses. And so a collaboration was born. The Kaibosh x Bergans Reborn collection is a limited edition of updated 1930s glasses, four models in all, marketed in 1930s-style imagery and language. All frames are unisex and lightweight and come with cases shaped like sleeping bags and a cleaning cloth. The G 20 W model has side shielding made with fabric that Bergans uses in its garments. The collection will go on sale shortly at all Bergans and Kaibosh stores.
