Berghaus is taking steps to standardize the sizing of its ranges of men's and women's garments and has committed to use AlvaForm technical fit mannequins for that purpose. AlvaForms are developed by Alvanon, the global supplier of integrated fit solutions for the apparel industry, based on the 3D body-shape scans of over 50,000 European male and female consumers aged between 20 and 40. This enables the garment suppliers who use these mannequins to design clothes that better fit their European customers. Initially the AlvaForms will be used by Berghaus' product development and design teams in its global head office in Sunderland, in the U.K., with future plans to roll them out to its office in Hong Kong and its international supply base.
