Black Diamond Equipment has become the exclusive brand partner of Whisper Ridge, an expansive ski resort in Utah, about an hour north of Salt Lake City. Whisper Ridge specializes in heli- and cat-skiing, using its two helicopters and a fleet of snowcats. Black Diamond, which is based in Utah, will be outfitting the resort's backcountry guides and other employees with apparel, skis, bindings, transceivers and other items, gaining brand exposure with the resort's clientele. Black Diamond's sister brand Pieps will also be supplying gear. Both brands are owned by Clarus Corporation.
