C.A.M.P. has announced that Ines Papert and Luka Lindič have joined the brand’s athlete roster. Papert, best known for her ice climbing achievements, was born in 1974 in Wittenberg, Germany. Raised in a family of musicians, her youth’s main interest was music. That changed in her early twenties when she discovered her love for the mountains and began with biking, hikes, ski tours, and then ice climbing, which turned into her favorite discipline. She is widely considered the best ice and mixed climber in the world. After retiring from competitions in 2006, she started searching for new routes in the mountains. Lindič was born in 1988 in Celje, Slovenia. In 2009, 2014 and 2016, he was recognized as the most successful Slovenian Alpinist by the Alpine Association of Slovenia. Among his multiple ascents, Lindič has summited the Broad Peak in the Karakorum. He has also made a solo ascent of the Intégrale de Peuterey Ridge on Mont Blanc in 15.5 hours. The collaboration between C.A.M.P. and these two new ambassadors is expected to be a long-lasting one, the company said. The brand has considerably strengthened its presence in the German market over the past few years, and the new contract with Papert is part of the company’s strategy in this country. With reference to its new partnership with Lindič, C.A.M.P. stressed the major contribution that Slovenian athletes have been making to the sport of mountain climbing since the 1970s.
