Swedish outdoor brand Fjällräven announced that it had to cancel its 2020 Fjällräven Classic trekking events in Germany, Denmark, UK, Sweden, USA and China due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. The event series started with one 110km-long trek across Swedish Lapland in 2005. Nine years later, it expanded to Denmark, followed by the U.S. in 2016 and Hong Kong in 2017. Last year, the brand announced that the Fjällräven Classic concept will expand to four more destinations in 2020: Germany, UK, South Korea and China. With Covid-19 making the rules, most of these events will now have to wait until 2021. The treks planned for South Korea and Hong Kong may still have a chance to happen. Fjällräven will continue to monitor the developments and evaluate the actions required to host safe and successful events in those countries. For now, the ticket sales have been postponed until August 2020.
