La Sportiva will launch a new clothing line dedicated to the world of mountain running and trail racing during the OutDoor show in Friedrichshafen this week. The new line has been produced in collaboration with Samsung of South Korea, like the first skiwear collection that the company had recently released, which this new line is going to complement in the apparel segment. For over 80 years, the brand from Italy's Trentino has produced a full range of outdoor footwear for mountaineers. The mountain running sector has been one of its core markets for investments over the last 15 years. The clothing line is meant to respond to the needs of mountaineers in a more comprehensive way. The mountain running apparel collection consists of two product lines for men/women using some of the best-known brands in textiles, insulation and membranes, including Gore-Tex and its new membrane Active Shell. Since January 2012, La Sportiva has become an official Bluesign member by certifying its textile industry according to the socio-environmental criteria approved by the Bluesign trademark.
