Merrell has released in a limited-edition trail-running shoe in collaboration with an American craft brewery called Dogfish Head. The Agility Synthesis x Dogfish is available now at select retail stores and merrell.com. It will also be sold at Dogfish Head's annual foot race, the Dogfish Dash, on Sept. 29 in Milton, Delaware. The shoe's colorway, “SeaQuench,” is named for Dogfish Head's SeaQuench Ale, which is described as the best-selling sour beer in the U.S. Some of the ale's ingredients, such as black limes and sea salt, are reflected in the shoe's design. The brewery's founder, Sam Calagione, calls the shoe “a great reminder to folks everywhere that you can ‘have your beer and drink it too.'” The Agility Synthesis x Dogfish is made largely of sustainable materials such as reclaimed scrap rubber, Bloom algae foam (instead of petroleum) and recycled plastic. For the launch, Merrell is donating $10,000 to The Conservation Alliance, which strives to bring companies and organizations together for wilderness conservation. Merrell's contributions made to this group so far exceed $1 million. Headquartered in Delaware, Dogfish currently sells beer in 45 U.S. states and Washington,
