Lundhags is introducing a series of sustainable shells made of a new, three-layer membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. “Lo” is an extremely light and versatile shell garment with high performance and packability, while “Laka” is slightly more robust with excellent comfort. The shells are made of a recycled, bluesign-approved polyester that is fluorocarbon-free. Only one material is used, which makes it completely recyclable. Lundhags says that Lo and Laka underwent a long development process focused on hiking and sustainability. All lab tests were conducted by the Sport Tech Research Centre in Östersund, an independent research center that collaborates with Mid Sweden University. The products will be available from www.lundhags.com, Lundhags’ own factory stores and retailers this March. Lundhags, founded in 1932 in Jämtland, Sweden, is part of the Norwegian Brav Group, which includes the Swix, Toko, Helsport, Hardrocx and Ulvang brands.
