Petzl is introducing a rather revolutionary “reactive lighting” system for its headlamps. Called NAO, it automatically adjusts the intensity of the LED to changes in the surrounding lighting conditions with the help of a sensor and a microprocessor. The system saves energy and eases eye fatigue. It will be available at retail from July 2012.
