As a precautionary measure, Sea to Summit has advised of a potential safety hazard with its Alpha and Sigma pot series (sold since around 2018 individually and as part of pot&cook sets) with a black nylon latch.
Alpha/Sigma pots with a black nylon latch without a screw will require a replacement latch for continued use. In rare cases, the black nylon latch that holds the handle in place may disengage when pouring to the right side (i.e., with the left hand). This creates the possibility that the handle will partially disengage from the holder and pose a risk of injury when pouring from the pot. Affected pot owners should contact Sea to Summit immediately using the link at www.seatosummit.de/productsafety.
