The South Tyrolean mountaineering brand Salewa has terminated its summit project #Salewa3000 prematurely due to the renewed restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 situation. The campaign significantly supported the renovation of the bivouac box on the Großglockner mountain in Austria. Salewa is now doubling the amount donated to €20,000.

On Nov. 6, the day the campaign ended, #Salewa3000 recorded about 3,700 pictures posted on Instagram, with 372 different 3,000-meter peaks climbed in a total of 1,847 attempts. Salewa started the campaing on Jan. 2, calling on the mountaineering community to climb all 784 three-thousanders in Austria. In early March, the campaign was interrupted by the first lockdown and restarted in July.
