Salomon has announced an extension to its partnership with Courtney Dauwalter, the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB) champion. Dauwalter will continue as a member of Salomon’s global athlete team through 2022. In 2017, the American ultramarathon runner from Golden, Colorado, famously finished the Moab 240 Mile Endurance Race in two days, nine hours and 59 minutes, faster than any of the men in the pack, and beating the male second-place finisher by more than 10 hours. The Moab 240 is a tough race in the rocky peaks of Utah, where participants experience extreme temperatures and highly technical terrain. Participants ordinarily take three to five days to reach the finish line.
