Antje von Dewitz, managing director since 2009 of the German outdoor brand Vaude, which was founded by her father in 1974, has now joined the ranks of book authors. According to a foreword by Winfried Kretschmann, Minister President of Baden-Württemberg, her German book “Mut steht uns gut” (Courage suits us well) is a guide on how to successfully shape change with foresight, passion and a thirst for action; a story that provides courage and confidence. Antje von Dewitz addresses questions such as “What if a company took responsibility for people and nature seriously?” Or: “What if an entrepreneur makes values such as sustainability, compatibility of family and career and trust a practical company philosophy?” and shows that one can throw seemingly unchangeable paradigms of economic success overboard and still – or therefore – be quite successful. “My desire is that our planet remains worth living for my children. We only need the courage to act,” von Dewitz commented her motivation to write the book, which will become available in German in stores and online on April 9.
