A.S. Adventure is reportedly preparing to open two stores in France next spring, in the Val d'Europe shopping district near Euro Disneyland, and in Nice One, a recently opened shopping mall in the southern French city by the same name. Owned by the A.S. Adventure Group, which further comprises Cotswold Outdoor in the U.K. and Bever in the Netherlands, among others, A.S. Adventure is the leading outdoor retailer in Belgium. It already moved into France six years ago, starting with two stores, but then shuttered an insufficiently profitable location in Metz late last year, keeping the other one in Reims. After its acquisition in early 2015 by a French-based private equity fund, PAI Partners, A.S. Adventure said that the new owner could help it to find more locations in the country. The two new openings were reported by Sport-guide.com. A.S. Adventure saw its sales increase by 9.9 percent to €420 million in 2015, excluding the acquisition of the Snow & Rock Group, which will help it to achieve a projected turnover of about €560 million this year.
