Benchex, a business consultancy in Hamburg in Germany, has published the first independent report on the German outdoor retail industry's satisfaction with suppliers. The survey, consisting of a detailed questionnaire, was put to 90 participants from over 60 independent retailers, retail chains and buying associations. Vaude was ranked first, followed by Mammut, Schöffel, Meindl, Jack Wolfskin, Lowa, Bergans and Fjällräven. The categories that were assessed in the study comprised personnel, customer service, business development, logistics and supply chain, end-consumer marketing, trade marketing and product development.
