Evasion Running, the Spanish sporting goods chain specializing in road running, trail running and triathlon, closed two of its three corporate stores in the last few months. The Barcelona store, covering 600 square meters, closed its doors at the end of the year, while another store in Valencia, measuring 380 square meters, was closed at the end of March. Evasion Running still owns and manages its first store in Valencia, to which the products from the local store that closed down were transferred. The chain still has four franchised stores in Spain, located in Geltru, Reus, Palma de Mallorca and Castellon and another franchised store in Nice, France, in which Michel Fauritte, chief executive and founder of Evasion Running, has a small share. Fauritte is reportedly trying to sell the last remaining company-owned store in Valencia.
