Houdini is further developing its own retail concept. The Swedish brand already owns and manages three mono-brand stores in Sweden and will be opening an additional one in Gothenburg in September. The company intends to open corporate or franchised stores in its foreign focus markets: Germany, Norway and Japan. Houdini recently implemented an interesting rental and re-use concept in its stores, allowing consumers to rent clothes or to bring back their used Houdini clothes in order to re-sell them. Houdini is now introducing a system whereby consumers can bring Houdini apparel to the store and get it repaired. Under a garment recycling system that has been implemented since 2007, 80 percent of Houdini's collection for spring/summer 2015 is made from recyclable materials.
