U.S. outdoor brand Kavu, founded in Seattle in 1993, announced that it is signing with distributor Himalaya Trading Co. Ltd. to anchor the brand in China. This is part of the brand’s continued expansion in Asia-Pacific (APAC) markets. Kavu was first introduced to the APAC region more than 25 years ago and already has a presence in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan. Himalaya Trading was founded by Jack Lin more than 18 years ago. The Shenzhen, China-based company distributes and markets other outdoor brands, including Black Diamond, Outdoor Research and Smartwool. Chinese mainland retailers can now order the entire Kavu line through Himalaya Trading.
