Although the dollar exchange rate is currently unfavorable, Maier Sports is keeping the base price levels of its F/S 2021 pants stable, said Lothar Baisch, managing director sales and marketing of the German outdoor apparel brand. This decision was made out of solidarity with Maier Sports’ specialist retail partners, who currently do not have a lot of budgetary leeway due to the coronavirus crisis. However, as long-term price stability is not feasible, Maier Sports has already announced the unavoidable price adjustments for spring/summer 2022. After seven years of price stability, Baisch is counting on a broad understanding among retailers, which Maier Sports has supported with several effective measures during the pandemic.
