Marc Tanis has been appointed as the sales agent for Garmont in the Benelux countries, starting in May. Tanis is familiar with the outdoor footwear market since he previously worked for several years as a Dutch agent for the Hi-Tec brand in the Netherlands, until May 2016. He started selling the Garmont brand as a sub-agent for The Plus Company, which is the agency for the Italian outdoor footwear brand in Belgium and the Netherlands. After his departure from Hi-Tec, Tanis established his own company, Marcwise Company, to become the master agent in Europe for D10, a brand of anti-odor spray owned by Durable Guard, which claims to keep bacteria and funky smells away for ten days in products such as shoes, gloves and bags. Marcwise has also obtained an agency deal for the Benelux countries with the Spanish company behind Enforma socks, specializing in technical products for running, cycling and outdoor activities. Tanis will start selling the brand around the start of next year.
