McTrek, the price-driven German outdoor retailing chain, has opened its largest store so far in the town of Weiterstadt south of Frankfurt. On more than 1,000 square meters, McTrek's new store offers 700 styles of outdoor footwear, 250 tents and 150 sleeping bags. The full range store carries, among many other items, 400 styles of pants and more than 150 types of backpacks. The chain, which is controlled by Yeah AG! of Ulrich Dausien, the founder of Jack Wolfskin, currently runs 23 stores across the country. The next new store is planned for the city of Aachen.
