Mountain Warehouse will no longer run standalone stores under the Zakti brand, which was launched four years ago to expand into the athleisure market. It confirmed a report from Retail Week that four Zakti stores would be converted to Mountain Warehouse. But in the meantime, the British outdoor retailer has rolled out the Zakti brand in all of its Mountain Warehouse stores in the U.K., as indicated earlier this year. This was apparently regarded as a more efficient way to secure exposure for the brand and to take part in the athleisure market.
