Nomad Travel, the British outdoor retailer, which should not be confused with the Dutch Nomad Company, has opened its ninth store in the U.K. The shop is located in the City of London and is naturally called The Nomad City. The special selling proposal of Nomad is its unique combination of an outdoor store with a clinic service that prepares travellers for trips to tropical or other environments ? how to be protected from diseases etc. The chain and mail-order service was founded back in 1990 by Paul Goodyer, chief executive, and Professor Larry Goodyer. Goodyer is head of the Leicester School of Pharmacy at De Montfort University and acts as Nomad's pharmaceutical director.
