Patagonia has signed a contract to open a new store of 3,300 square feet at 51 King Street, in the downtown area of Manchester. Covering two floors, it will be brand's eighth store in Europe and the only one in the U.K. following the shutdown in 2014 of a store in the Covent Garden district of London. The move follows the relocation in February 2016 of the company's U.K. office from London to Manchester, close to the Peak District and other areas where numerous outdoor activities are performed. As previously reported, the Greater Manchester area will also be the location next year of the British Outdoor Trade Show.
