Plutosport, a Dutch online sports retailer, wants to build up its assortment of outdoor products, as it continues to diversify from its original focus on football products. Sportswear has become the biggest category for the retailer, which already covers a broad range of sports, from team sports to running and winter sports. Launched in 2005, Plutosport reported sales of €15.8 million last year and is anticipating growth to about €20 million this year. Nearly 80 percent of that is derived from the Netherlands, but the company also opened English and German-language versions of its online store, and it diversified in geographic terms two months ago with the launch of its electronic store in France and Italy.
