Wintersteiger, the Austrian supplier of ski rental and ski service systems, has decided to acquire Board & Ski Teknikk AS, a Norwegian company that has been its distributor for over 30 years, servicing the Swedish market as well. The move is linked to the retirement of the distribution company’s founder and owner, Viggo Slang. All of his employees will remain on board. According to Wintersteiger, direct market access will enable more intensive support for the Bootdoc and Hotronic brands, the company’s new Bike Services product area and its Drytech drying solutions. The new subsidiary, called Wintersteiger NC, will take over customer care after the closing of the winter season at the end of March 2021.
