The introduction of Cardio GPS sports watches led TomTom to more than double its revenues from sports products in the second quarter. It helped its Consumer Division to record only a small decline to €169 million from €172 million, in spite of a 17.4 percent drop in automotive hardware to €19 million during the period. The Dutch company said its sales of personal navigation devices (PND) increased in Europe, in spite of a slowdown in the market.
