The Oberalp Group has appointed Andrea Carraro to the post of general manager for footwear and technical equipment. He will be leading the development team for this products at the office in Montebelluna, and thereby working to increase the market share of the Salewa and Dynafit brands in the categories of ski touring, alpine running, speed hiking and mountaineering. Carraro is coming off eight years as general manager of footwear at Fischer Sports, the Austrian brand of Nordic and Alpine ski products. Before that, he spent nine years as product director with Northwave, the Italian brand of cycling apparel and accessories. Earlier still, he was a product manager at the Safilo Group.
