The office of Hydro Flask Europe in Lausanne became fully operational on Oct. 17. Run by David Ledouble, it will benefit from the long-established back-office operations of Kaz Europe, a subsidiary of Helen of Troy, the American consumer goods company that took over Hydro Flask earlier this year. This includes sales order and inventory management, invoicing and customer services. These functions that were previously handled by Hydro Flask's head office in Bend, Oregon, which has moved to a new 12,000-square-foot location in the same town. The products will continue to be delivered from a European warehouse in Rotterdam. As reported in our last issue, Hydro Flask has launched a bottle customization program in the U.S., but it is not offering it yet in Europe, where it is not selling its products directly to consumers.
