The U.K. subsidiary of the Dutch-based Zwanenberg Food Group has acquired a majority stake in Malton Foods, a British meat producer that markets Wayfarer outdoor foods among other products. Malton, which previously traded under the name of Westlers Foods, has been suffering financial losses over the past few years. It was bought by its management in 2010, but it has a big deficit in its pension scheme.
