According to Bicycle Retailer, the Colorado-based trade magazine, Darrell Denny left Emerald Expositions on May 24. Hired in 2010, Denny was both business development director and executive vice president, overseeing the American trade show operator's sports properties, such as Outdoor Retailer, Interbike and Health & Fitness. Last November, however, Emerald cancelled the 2019 Interbike show and cut one of Outdoor Retailer's three annual shows. Denny was previously with Penton Media, managing such trade shows as Natural Products Expos, Engredea, Nutracon and IT/Dev Connections. He also spent a decade at Miller Freeman, a now defunct publisher of business books and magazines.
