Organizers of The Big Gear Show have announced that Petzl, Scarpa North America, La Sportiva, Liberty Mountain’s Edelweiss, Singing Rock, Grivel, Beal, Cypher, Kong and Eldorado Climbing have agreed to exhibit at the inaugural event Aug. 3-5 in Park City, Utah. With the Olympic debut of indoor climbing coming just before the start of The Big Gear Show, Covid-19 is expected to add to the boom in climbing. The invitation-only show is North America’s first open-air trade show, expo and demo designed by retailers for retailers. It is sponsored by the Grassroots Outdoor Alliance, and new educational tracks will be unveiled in the coming weeks to develop new best practices for the changing face of business today.
