For the first time ever, the OutDoor show in Friedrichshafen, due to be held on July 11-14, will host the German Boulder Cup on the second and third days of the show. Organized by the German Alpine Federation (DAV), more than 100 bouldering enthusiasts are expected to test their skills. On the first day, there will be the qualifiers for the semifinals, which will take place on Saturday, July 13, followed by the finals on the same day. DAV will broadcast the contest live on the web at alpenverein.de. Among others, offical partners of the events are Vaude, Entre-Prises and T-Wall. Meanwhile, Messe Friedrichshafen, the organizer of the OutDoor show, has announced that it has managed to lower its ecological footprint by increasing the efficiency of its energy use. In 2012, the application of modern technologies in the management of the halls helped to make the energy spending more efficient by 8 percent compared with the previous year.
