The season-opening downhill races of the 2021 Mercedez-Benz UCI Mountain Bike World Cup, which were scheduled to take place in Maribor, Slovenia, on April 24-25, have been postponed in connection with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. As reported by insidethegames.biz, a request to postpone the event was made by local health authorities, and the International Cycling Union (UCI) has agreed to it. The new dates for the 2021 MTB World Cup event in Maribor are Aug. 14-15.
