Salomon and Ragnar Events have announced the launch of the Ragnar Trail Relays, the world's first overnight trail relay series. Ragnar Trail Relays are off-road running events taking teams of all abilities, consisting of eight or four runners, to some of the most scenic venues in the U.S. Participants run over two days and one night and camp with their team. The event will include three trail loops at national parks and resort venues that begin and end at Ragnar Village, a central location at each course featuring a Salomon and Suunto tent, where runners can see the latest trail-running gear, including shoes, apparel, hydration packs and outdoor watches, while also getting trail-running tips from the Salomon pro staff. Suunto, a sister company to Salomon within the Amer Sports group, is Ragnar Trail Relays' official timing sponsor and will track the start and finish times at the race. Ragnar Trail Relays presented by Salomon will debut on April 26-27 at the Zion Ponderosa Ranch near Zion National Park, Utah. Additional events will include Big Bear Lake in Morgantown, West Virginia, on June 7-8; Lake Tahoe, California, on July 26-27; Snowbasin, Utah, on Aug. 23-24; McDowell Mountain in Scottsdale, Arizona, on Oct. 18-19; and Vail Lake Resort in Temecula, California, on Nov. 15-16.
