The third Nature & Sport Euro Meet has been scheduled from Sept. 31 to Oct. 2 in Newcastle, County Down, Northern Ireland, near the Mourne Mountains and Strangford Lough. The European gathering is meant to bring together governmental organizations, associations and other stakeholders to support active outdoor participation. The three-day event is organized by the European Nature & Outdoor Sports Network (ENOS), which was formally established at the second Euro Meet in Slovakia. The two key topics are the increase in participation for all in outdoor sports, and ways to draw regional, economic benefits from outdoor sports. The event will showcase best practice from across Europe. ENOS aims to develop and promote outdoor sports in Europe, supporting the organization and management of the related activities and encouraging transnational initiatives. It is also meant to assist initiatives that will promote responsible and sustainable access and use of natural landscapes, marine areas, habitats and eco-systems.
