Victor Evtukhov, the Russian state secretary and deputy minister of Industry and Trade, is to attend the OutDoor fair this year in support of the Russian outdoor industry. The ministry says it has initiated the Russian Outdoor Village, a stand with 14 Russian companies, organized in conjunction with the Russian Outdoor Group (ROG). The ministry says that Russia has over 150 producers of fabrics, accessories and specialist products for hiking, mountaineering and units of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, turning out quality products. They actually became significantly cheaper for many foreign buyers after the ruble's collapse last year. The 14 participants in the Russian village are Bask, Vento, Sivera, Kanat, BTK Group, Normal, Red Fox Outdoor Equipment, Splav, Arctic Explorer, All World, Vlony Veter, Rock Pillars and Karo. The state secretary's program includes exchanges with representatives of the European Outdoor Group, the Italian Outdoor Group, the Adidas Group and W.L. Gore.
