Vaude has acquired Epiclist, the iPhone-compatible outdoor travel application developed over the past three years by Epic Peaks. Epiclist allows users to post travel and outdoor stories, which they can share with their friends. By documenting travels and outdoor activities, this app aims to inspire other users to plan their own outdoor adventures. Olga Remgein, one of Epic's co-founder, has participated in the hand-over to Vaude. Epiclist will continue to be a free app, with versions also for Android, and possibly Desktop, in the pipeline. So far, more than 13,000 travel stories have been posted on Epiclist by users from more than 70 countries. They have been invited to decide whether they want to continue to be registed.
