Vaude has opened a new €2 million production facility at its company headquarters in Tettnang, in southern Germany. The blond wood façade of the Vaude Manufaktur building is meant to immediately suggest the role that sustainability plays in the facility, which has been designed to offer energy-efficient solutions and healthy working space. Around 100,000 backpacks and bike bags and backpacks are to be made annually in the 1,800-square-meter factory, which began operations at the beginning of the year.
