UK-based outdoor specialist Bradshaw Taylor has acquired the Sherpa Adventure Gear brand, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Innov8 Partners, and its assets. Bradshaw Taylor will take over the global operations. Corry Taylor, the owner of Bradshaw Taylor, will be appointed CEO of Sherpa concurrent with the acquisition.

Bradshaw Taylor is a fourth-generation family business managed by Taylor and a successful distribution company of outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment in the U.K. and Europe. The brand portfolio includes Keen, Tentree, Schöffel and other brands. In March, Bradshaw Taylor acquired the French brand Le Chameau.

Taylor has been successfully developing and establishing outdoor and country brands for over 25 years. He and his team were instrumental in the early introduction and positioning of the Sherpa brand. From 2012 until the acquisition by Innov8 Partners in 2016, he worked closely with founder Tashi Sherpa. Commenting on the acquisition, Tashi Sherpa said, “My family and I could not be happier or more grateful to know that our beloved brand is now in the worthy hands of my dear friend Corry and his unique team at Bradshaw Taylor. The future for Sherpa Adventure Gear looks bright and I am really excited and honored to still be part of this touching adventure”.

Bradshaw Taylor will integrate Sherpa into its broad family of brands. A seamless transition will be ensured by the continuation of the partnership with Innov8 Partners, which includes North American distribution and coordinated functions.
